Habitrol Patch, helps you stop smoking.
Dependence on nicotine occurs as a result of the smoking habit, during which the body becomes accustomed to receiving nicotine every time you light up a cigarette. When you try to quit smoking, it is this dependence on nicotine that often holds you back. The unpleasant symptoms of nicotine withdrawal often provide an excuse to begin smoking again and in doing so you are effectively mortgaging your future just to avoid the unpleasant experience of trying to break from smoking. Don’t let yourself rationalise the risk of illness or death that smoking represents
Habitrol Patches helps you give up smoking by alleviating the unpleasant symptoms associated with nicotine withdrawal. These symptoms can include headaches, sweating, irritability, anxiety and mood swings. They are often a disincentive to quit smoking. When you apply a Habitrol Patch, small amounts of nicotine become released and are absorbed through the skin. This provides the smoker with a controlled way to satisfy the body's craving for nicotine.
Habitrol Patches provides a flexible, convenient course of treatment for smokers who want to quit. Each pack contains 7 patches. It comes in either 21mg, 14mg or 7mg strength. Follow the recommended application process to ensure its efficiency. If you have decided to kick the smoking habit once and for all, then Habitrol Patches are the product that can make your non-smoking dream a reality.
As a form of NRT, Habitrol Patch helps you overcome your current dependence on nicotine
Some History about Nicotine Replacement Therapy
During the 1960’s it was discovered that smokers among the submarine crew of the Swedish Royal Navy were short-tempered and distracted because there was a smoking ban on board the submarines. The smokers were suffering from nicotine withdrawal.
The Swedish government approached a Swedish pharmaceutical company and asked them for their help. In 1967 Ove Fernö, a researcher, developed a product that could ease these withdrawal symptoms and help them quit. Nicotine gum is what he came up with and from there many types of Nicotine replacement therapy have been developed including nicotine patches which have become very popular.
|Dosage||Which Strength of Habitrol Patch to use and how long it should be used for:
There are three different strengths of Habitrol Patch. The patch is applied on waking (usually in the morning) and removed 24 hours later
When you first start to use the Habitrol Patch you should use the highest strength. This is the 21mg Habitrol Patch. You should use this strength patch daily for 8 weeks
Then you should reduce the amount of nicotine you are using by changing the strength of the patch you use. Use the next lower strength patch (14mg) applied daily for 2 weeks, then use the lowest strength patch (7mg) applied daily for two weeks
This gradual reduction in the amount of nicotine will help your body get used to going without nicotine
The patches each last 16 hours, are easy to use, and can be discreetly worn under clothing
|Warning||Not suitable for children. Do not use if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant; if you are breastfeeding; if you have had a recent heart attack or stroke; if you have heart disease or palpitations or angina; if you are a non-smoker; if you are under 18 years old or if you are allergic to nicotine or the components of the chewing gum.
