Health statistics show that many New Zealand adults are receiving well below the RDIs of essential vitamins and minerals - particularly iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, vitamin A and some of the B group vitamins. Daily supplementation with a broad range of nutrients, including vitamins and minerals, provides nutritional insurance by helping to achieve an optimum intake for health and the prevention of disease.
Blackmores' sustained release system is based on a unique matrix consisting of two vegetable gums - guar gum (from the seeds of a legume), and gum acacia (from the sap of acacia trees). The sustained release principle involves the leaching of vitamins and minerals from the tablet ムcoreメ as it passes through the gastrointestinal tract.
